Pressure Washing Pricing & Profit Calculator
Enter the job's real labor, direct costs, overhead and profit target. The calculator works backward to estimate the price the job needs to support those numbers.
Calculate your job price
Your actual business costs always override regional reference data.
Optional location reference
Enter a ZIP code to see the closest published BLS wage reference for this calculator’s occupation proxy. The reference never overwrites your labor-cost input.
1. Job size
Square footage is used to show your effective price per square foot. It does not automatically estimate labor time or change the quote.
Surface type, condition and access should be reflected in your estimated on-site hours and direct costs. The planned Job Time / Production Rate Calculator will handle those factors explicitly rather than applying arbitrary price multipliers here.
2. Labor
Enter the all-in hourly cost of paid workers when you know it. The ZIP lookup is a wage reference only, not an employer-cost estimate.
3. Direct job costs
4. Overhead & target

How the pressure washing pricing calculator works
The calculator first estimates the job's underlying cost from paid employee labor, owner compensation, direct job costs and the share of monthly overhead assigned to the job. It then accounts for a payment-processing fee and your target profit margin.
The minimum job charge is applied only when it is higher than the price produced by that formula. This distinction matters because a 30% profit margin is not the same calculation as adding a 30% markup to cost.
Why owner compensation is separate from profit
If the owner performs work on the job, the calculator treats the owner's desired hourly compensation as a cost of performing the work. Profit is what remains after that compensation and the other entered costs are covered.
What the ZIP code changes
The ZIP tool does not claim to know the local pressure-washing market price. It shows the closest published BLS occupational wage median available for the ZIP’s BLS area, with state and national fallbacks when the local estimate is not published. If you know your actual all-in employee cost, use your number.
Pressure washing pricing questions
Does this calculator set a price per square foot?
No. It calculates a recommended job price from the costs and margin you enter, then shows the effective price per square foot for comparison.
What should I include in overhead?
Overhead can include recurring business expenses that are not entered elsewhere as direct job costs. The calculator divides monthly overhead by expected monthly jobs to create a simple per-job allocation.
Can I use my actual labor cost instead of the ZIP reference?
Yes. Your actual all-in labor cost is the preferred input. BLS OEWS reports worker wages, not the employer’s complete cost after payroll taxes, workers’ compensation, benefits and other employment costs.
